| dead end (dnd) heterozygous mutant zebrafish possess the normal phenotype as wild type zebrafish. By mating the male and female dnd heterozygous mutants, 1/4 of the offsprings will be dnd homozygous mutants. dnd homozygous mutants are all male and germ cell-less. In the germ cell-less testes of the dnd homozygous mutants, functional somatic cells exist. |
