Strain ID | TG1252 |
Strain Name | kdrl-DsRed2 |
Strain Type | Transgenics |
Characteristics | kdrl (kinase insert domain receptor like) is a VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) receptor and also known as vegfr2 and flk1. A 6.5 kb genomic fragment encompassing the kdrl promoter region was amplified from fosmid clone (GOLWFno449_c01) and cloned into the XhoI-EcoRI sites of the pDsRed2-1 vector (CLONTECH).The DsRed expression is observed in vascular endothelial cells. |

TG1252_kdrl-DsRed2 (A-D) Lateral view of a just hatched larva. DsRed-expression is observed in vascular endothelial cells. (B) Higher magnification of the head region of A. (C) Higher magnification of the tail region of A. (D) Higher magnification of the caudal fin region of A. DsRed-expression is very weak in the vascular endothelial cells of caudal fin. |
