| Characteristics | myf5 (myogenic factor 5) is a basic helix loop helix transcription factor and acts as a myogenic regulatory factor. A fosmid clone (GOLWFno481_a14) including the myf5 gene, which was identified from the Medaka ensemble database, was used for homologous recombination. The DsRed(Express)-kanamycin cassette was recombined into exon 1 of the medaka myf5 gene. The medaka Cab line was used for establishment of the myf5-DsRed transgenic medaka. The DsRed expression is observed in muscle. Refer to the expression pattern of myf5-EGFP (TG1255). |
