Maintenance of seed resources: Regeneration of total of 1,218 strains was finished early in summer 2008. Two hundred and ninety-seven landraces of bread wheat were grown in Kihara Institute for Biological Research, Yokohama City University (KIBR) and 921 strains consisting of several wild species and landraces were grown in Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University.  In autumn 2008, 1,502 strains were sown, 419 at KIBR and 1,083 at Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University.

Distribution of seed resources: Total of 1,922 strains have been distributed to various researchers and institutions throuout the world (Table 1).
